3 People Who Heard A Voice From Heaven (in the bible) And What Happened To Them

The distance between heaven and Earth is unprecedented. As a result, no one can imagine a direct communication with someone in heaven while he or she is on Earth.

On three occasions in the Bible, a voice was heard from heaven — not in a vision — by three different people at different times.

Based on result, no man can hear a voice from heaven without experiencing something spectacular afterward. Of course, to every cause, there is always an effect. The effect of hearing a heavenly voice is certain.

The very first person who heard a voice from heaven was King Nebuchadnezzar.

After the dream he had, Daniel interpreted it and revealed what will happen to him: he would become more or less an animal eating grass like the Oxen for seven years.

At the time the dream was to come to pass; he heard a voice from heaven in Daniel 4:31 … “While the word was still in the king’s mouth, a voice fell from heaven: ‘King Nebuchadnezzar, to you it is spoken: the kingdom has departed from you!'"

Thereafter, he changed to another being which nothing but grass. Even his body structure changed to that of an animal.

The second person who heard a direct voice from heaven was the Son of God, Jesus after his baptism (Mark 1:11 — And immediately, coming up from the water, He saw the heavens parting and the Spirit descending upon Him like a dove. Then a voice came from heaven, “You are My beloved Son, in whom I am well pleased.”)

Immediately after this encounter, he was driven by the Spirit of God into the wilderness where he was tempted by the tempter himself.

Thirdly, Saul, the persecutor, also heard a voice from heaven. Just as others suffered after hearing the voice, so he did, too.

According to Acts 9:9 — And he was three days without sight, and neither ate nor drank — he lost his sight for 3 days.

Although people who heard heavenly voice in the Bible suffered for a while, they ended up enjoying. King Nebuchadnezzar later returned back to his palace; Jesus became victorious and Saul, the persecutor, became a soul winner. In fact, he became the first apostle to the gentile.

In essence, for the fact that you hear from God doesn’t mean you won’t suffer or encounter some tough challenges. Moses was very close to God. He spoke to other prophets in dark speeches, but for Moses he talked face-to-face; yet he denied him entrance to the promise land.

Never leave God if you are facing turbulent times even though you hear him speak all the time.

Tough times never last, tough people do.
