What Most Preachers Don't Tell Us About The Holy Spirit

Having knew the thought of the Pharisees, Jesus seized the opportunity to give extra caution to them, and of course to us all, not to think the Spirit of God was like him.  The statement Jesus made on that day brought us to a realization that Holy Spirit is quite different — in fact, "far far" different — from God the Father and God the Son. If you really know God the Father and God the Son quite well, and you relate to Holy Spirit the same way you relate to them, in no time, you will realize you've beaten more than you can chew. From this expository and thought-provoking post, you will learn a lot of things that most Bible preachers don't tell us — or forget to tell us — about the 3rd triune God, Holy Spirit. First, let me show you something fascinating in the Bible. Judges 9:7-15 7 Now when they told Jotham, he went and stood on top of Mount Gerizim, and lifted his voice and cried out. And he said to them: “Listen to me, you men of Shechem, That God may listen to yo...

Everything You Need To Know About The Giant In The Bible

War In Heaven: A Fight Between Angel Michael and Satan.

l Satan and Michae

7 And there was war in heaven: Michael and his angels fought against the dragon; and the dragon fought and his angels,

8 And prevailed not; neither was their place found any more in heaven.

9 And the great dragon was cast out, that old serpent, called the Devil, and Satan, which deceiveth the whole world: he was cast out into the earth

Revelation 12:7-9

When Satan was defeated in Heaven by the arch angel (Michael), he was casted out of Heaven with his angels. Since they had no place in Heaven, they came down to the earth. Because they were direct creatures of God, they were referred to as the sons of God.

He, the alpha and Omega, created them — they had no parent. In other words, sons of God include both the angels in Heaven and the fallen angels that were driven out of Heaven with Satan (the great dragon).

Even Adam and Eve are sons of God. They had no parents: They were direct creatures of God.

Satan didn’t plan to leave Heaven. More so, the fight was not instigated by him. Angel Michael instigated it, and he eventually won the fight, which led to the casting out of Satan and his angels.

Sons of God and Daughters of Men.

6 And it came to pass, when men began to multiply on the face of the earth, and daughters were born unto them,

2 That the sons of God saw the daughters of men that they were fair; and they took them wives of all which they chose.

3 And the Lord said, My spirit shall not always strive with man, for that he also is flesh: yet his days shall be an hundred and twenty years.

4 There were giants in the earth in those days; and also after that, when the sons of God came in unto the daughters of men, and they bare children to them, the same became mighty men which were of old, men of renown.

Genesis 6:1-4

After the casting out of Satan (the old serpent) from Heaven, his angels began to have sexual relationship, which led to the birth of giants in the Bible, with the daughters of men.

This event took place around a thousand years (1,000 years) before the flood.

The children who were the product of this ungodly relationship became giants and developed ways of wickedness, which grieved the Almighty God.

These giants were the Anakim in the Bible. Therefore, Anakim can be define as the family of giants in the Bible who were the products of the ungodly relationship between the sons of God (fallen angels) and daughters of men before the flood.

These Anakims were also known as Emim.

When Lot left Zoar, he resided on a mountain with his two daughters who connived together to have sex with their father in order to preserve their father’s lineage. The first born named her child Moab (father of Moabites), while the second born named her child Ben-Ammi (father of Ammonites). It was the child of the first born of Lot, Moab, who named the Anakim Emim, while Ammon named them Zamzummims.

So, Anakim, Emim and Zamzummims referred to the same people.

Sons of God and Satan.

The Bible qualifies Satan, the Devil, as a roaring lion. A roaring lion is always looking for who to devour. Just as Satan is always looking for who to destroy, so his fallen angels are on assignment to destroy the world.

Their mission is to steal, kill and destroy.

As they are not omnipresent, they move about in the earth seeking who to kill and destroy.

They carry out their operation through deceptive means, which is their weapon. Even Satan presented himself whenever the sons of God appear before God. This revealed his uncanny ability to transform himself as an angel of light.

Just as he successfully deceived Adam and Eve, so his fallen angels deceived beautiful women before the flood so that they could wipe out the generation that would raise the Messiah and raise their type — giants in the Bible.

Had it not been for the intervention of God, they would have successfully wiped out all the generations with their wickedness. However, Noah found grace with God.

3. Ishbi-Benob

4. Saph

5. Lahmi

6. Goliath’s brother who had 12 fingers and 12 toes.

1. Goliath of Gath

4 And there went out a champion out of the camp of the Philistines, named Goliath, of Gath, whose height was six cubits and a span.

5 And he had an helmet of brass upon his head, and he was armed with a coat of mail; and the weight of the coat was five thousand shekels of brass.

6 And he had greaves of brass upon his legs, and a target of brass between his shoulders.

7 And the staff of his spear was like a weaver's beam; and his spear's head weighed six hundred shekels of iron: and one bearing a shield went before him.

1 Samuel 17:4-7

This was one of the children of the Anakims. The way the book of Samuel described him proved giants in the Bible were not just tall, they were huge and scary.

Goliath, according to the Bible, was six (6) cubits and a span tall, which means he was about 9 feet tall. Even the tallest man of our generation is not as tall as he was. The tallest man is 8 feet tall.

More so, he wore a coat of mail, which was about 5,000 shekels — that is approximately 125 pounds (one-seventh of the weight of the heaviest man in the world).

In addition, he used a spear that its staff is more or less like a weaver’s beam, which is double the height of a typical man.

On his body, he armed himself with six (6) weapons. His height, six (6) cubits, definitely had something to do with his armor(weapons), which were also six (6). Consequently, Goliath identified himself with the antichrist number — 666.

2. Og — King of Bashan

When all the giants in the Bible had been killed, Og was the only giant left on earth. He ruled sixty (60) cities around a region called Argob.

His weight made him sleep on iron bed, which was about 9 cubit — 13 ½ feet — in length. Even Goliath would have slept comfortably on his bed.

According to the book of Deuteronomy 3:11, the bed was in Rabbath, a place that belonged to the children of Ammon.

He was killed when the children of Israel passed Bashan on their way to the promise land. He denied them from gaining entrance to his city. As a result, he set up a battle against the children of Israel at Edrei, and they defeated him there.

3. Ishbi-Benob

Forty (40) years after Goliath was killed by David, Ishbi-Benob was known all over the towns in the Bible because of the weight of his spear weighed 300 shekels of brass (20 pounds).

He resided on the mountain throughout his lifetime. Moreover, he nearly killed David with his new sword.

Eventually, Abishai — the son of Zeruiah —killed him. Due to such a great victory, the men of David denied Abishai from fighting in other battles against philistine.

4. Saph

This was one of the sons of the Anakims who was killed by Sibbechai at Gob.

5. Lahmi

Lahmi was a great giant. He used a similar shaft of spear with Goliath. The Bible referred to him as a brother of Goliath. Although some Christians believe Lahmi was a son to Goliath, he was simply his brother.

Elhanan, the son of Jareoregm, killed him in a battle where Saph died (Gob).

6. 12 fingers giant

His name was not revealed like the other giants in the Bible. His stature was more scary as he had 12 fingers and 12 toes.

Just as Goliath defied the army of the Lord, so he defied Israel. As a result, Jonathan — the brother of David (the son of Shimeah) — killed him.

The other biblical giants were:

7. Sheshai

8. Ahiman

9. Talmai.
