What Most Preachers Don't Tell Us About The Holy Spirit

Having knew the thought of the Pharisees, Jesus seized the opportunity to give extra caution to them, and of course to us all, not to think the Spirit of God was like him.  The statement Jesus made on that day brought us to a realization that Holy Spirit is quite different — in fact, "far far" different — from God the Father and God the Son. If you really know God the Father and God the Son quite well, and you relate to Holy Spirit the same way you relate to them, in no time, you will realize you've beaten more than you can chew. From this expository and thought-provoking post, you will learn a lot of things that most Bible preachers don't tell us — or forget to tell us — about the 3rd triune God, Holy Spirit. First, let me show you something fascinating in the Bible. Judges 9:7-15 7 Now when they told Jotham, he went and stood on top of Mount Gerizim, and lifted his voice and cried out. And he said to them: “Listen to me, you men of Shechem, That God may listen to yo...

The Real Secret Behind Father Abraham's Huge Success & Blessings

I will make you a great nation; I will bless you And make your name great; And you shall be a blessing.

I will bless those who bless you, And I will curse him who curses you; And in you all the families of the earth shall be blessed.” Genesis 12:2-3

The blessings on Father Abraham is so much that one cannot but take a second thought on the reason for the manifold blessings. Likewise, his success is unprecedented.

God blessed him so much that his blessings reached across all nations of the world from generations to generations as a result of the birth of Jesus from his lineage.

In fact, his name became a channel of blessing. You can’t bless him without being blessed by God

He was extremely rich that under his care they were over three hundred servants who never complained about food, shelter not cloth.

Abram was very rich in livestock, in silver, and in gold. Genesis 13:2

Why did God bless him this much?

Perhaps, the relationship he had with him prompted the blessings? Back and forth, his relationship played a big role in all of his success and blessings. However, before a man can attain a level where his relationship with God will command this kind of blessings, he must have done something note-worthy.

Truth be told, what brought about his huge blessings and success was total surrender. It is one thing to surrender; it is another thing to give a total surrender.

Father Abraham surrendered totally to God. All you could ever imagine was surrender by him. Nothing, for him, was too big for God.

To digress a bit, I heard the story of a man who was told about the huge blessings that comes after consistent payment of tithes. Having known tithe was ten percent, he asked of what God would do if he could give more than the required percentage. They told him, of course, that God would bless him more.

Consequently, he made up his mind to pay ninety percent (90%) of his income instead of the ten percent (10%).

He paid it consistently. Eventually, his story changed. At the moment, someone said he is one of the richest men in the world.

In other words, whenever you give to God, he gives back to you. Whatever you sow, you will definitely reap. You can’t sow little and expect to reap bountifully.

Anyone who desires the kind of blessings of Father Abraham must be willing to surrender as much as he did.

In Genesis 12:1 and 4…

Now the Lord had said to Abram: “Get out of your country, From your family And from your father’s house, To a land that I will show you.

So Abram departed as the Lord had spoken to him, and Lot went with him. And Abram was seventy-five years old when he departed from Haran.

According to the verses above, he surrendered his native country when God told him to leave to an unknown land. Can you imagine someone telling you to leave where you grew up to a place where you don’t know?

So many people would turn deaf ears to such a command because they do not what their surviving fate would be in that unknown land.

For Abraham, without questioning God, he left his native country. Not regarding what the consequences would be, he left the riches of his country to start afresh in an uncertain place he had never been before.

As if that was not enough, he surrendered his father’s house. He didn’t just leave his native country; he left what could have been his inheritance. When many people would go the extra mile to protect their father's inheritance because it would later belong to them, he left his in obedience to the word of God.

You might think that was enough for God to bless him. After all, he surrendered his country and his inheritance. Read another below…

But God said to Abraham, “Do not let it be displeasing in your sight because of the lad or because of your bondwoman. Whatever Sarah has said to you, listen to her voice; for in Isaac your seed shall be called. Genesis 21:12

At a point, his wife, Sarah, was displeased with Hagar and her son, Ishmael, she told Abraham to send them out of their house so that Ishmael would not be an heir. Abraham didn’t want to take to her word, but God told him to let go of the child and her mother and he did.

Another surrender, he let go of his first child who was brought forth to the Earth by his wife’s maid, Hagar. Even though, it was painful, he let go.

To crown it all, God told him to surrender what he loved most, his only son, Isaac.

Then He said, “Take now your son, your only son Isaac, whom you love, and go to the land of Moriah, and offer him there as a burnt offering on one of the mountains of which I shall tell you.” Genesis 22:2

Christian of nowadays would have taken that voice to be the one of the devil. How can God ask a man who surrendered all to sacrifice his only son?

Many would have stopped worshipping such a God. Unbelievably, Father Abraham took his son, his only son, whom he loved most to the place where God told him. As if he was playing along to see may be God would change his mind, he prepared the altar for the sacrifice. Even the boy, Isaac, must have kept watching his dad in amazement…wanting to see what the father would do to him.

Without thinking twice, he took the knife and was about to kill the boy. Then, the angel of God stopped him. At that point, God was convinced beyond reasonable doubt that Abraham would have sacrificed the boy…Abraham would have surrendered what he loved most. That was the secret of his huge blessings and success.

So, if you are praying for Abraham’s blessings, the question remains that … can you surrender all, I MEAN ALL, to Jehovah?
