What Most Preachers Don't Tell Us About The Holy Spirit

Having knew the thought of the Pharisees, Jesus seized the opportunity to give extra caution to them, and of course to us all, not to think the Spirit of God was like him.  The statement Jesus made on that day brought us to a realization that Holy Spirit is quite different — in fact, "far far" different — from God the Father and God the Son. If you really know God the Father and God the Son quite well, and you relate to Holy Spirit the same way you relate to them, in no time, you will realize you've beaten more than you can chew. From this expository and thought-provoking post, you will learn a lot of things that most Bible preachers don't tell us — or forget to tell us — about the 3rd triune God, Holy Spirit. First, let me show you something fascinating in the Bible. Judges 9:7-15 7 Now when they told Jotham, he went and stood on top of Mount Gerizim, and lifted his voice and cried out. And he said to them: “Listen to me, you men of Shechem, That God may listen to yo...

Discover The Kind of People That God Does Not Like To Provide For.

The Almighty God doesn’t discriminate. He provides for all living things on earth. The living things, of course, cover animals in the forest and the birds flying in the sky. Even the grasses, unwanted plants, of the field are not exempted.

However, anyone who fails to follow the principles of God will never enjoy any provision from him.

From the time of Moses, God revealed how much he disliked complaint. He just couldn’t tolerate people who complain. Some people are fond of this negative attitude that they hardly see it as something bad.

In fact, due to the popularity of this bad attitude, religious organizations have started coming up with departments where their members can lodge complaint. What a pathetic situation!

The children of Israel were lucky to be the apple of God's eye. They were greatly favored so much that they ate bread which rained from heaven. Without raising a finger nor sweating, they had meat in excess from the river bodies, which drove the meat to their dwelling place.

Considering all Jehovah did for them, they were supposed to be grateful. On the contrary, they complained about God’s provision.

The Almighty can do anything to provide for his people. However, he hates ungrateful people, most especially people who complain about his handiwork, provision.

When the children of Israel complained that there was no food for them in the wilderness, their leader, Moses, was seriously disturbed. In time, God provided bread from heaven called Manna. Instead of them to be grateful for the food, they complained.

“but now our whole being is dried up; there is nothing at all except this manna before our eyes!” Numbers 11:6

As you can read above, they were given the best bread in the world. After some time, they complained about it. They felt tired of eating bread. Had they told Jehovah to give them another kind of food; he would have given it to them. They didn’t ask him, rather they expressed their displeasure over his previous provision.

Due to their intense complaints, he provided meats in innumerable numbers for them.

With their wealth of experience, they still complained about the promise land due to the giants who lived there. They’ve forgotten how they did the same thing before and several of them were killed by fire in Numbers 11 — "Now when the people complained, it displeased the Lord; for the Lord heard it, and His anger was aroused. So the fire of the Lord burned among them, and consumed some in the outskirts of the camp."

Eventually, the generation couldn’t enter the promise land because of the negative attitude of complaining and not appreciating things.

Anyone who can live a life free from complaining will, definitely, enjoy the endless provisions of God. Elijah was a perfect example of someone who lived a life free of complaints. He never complained about whatever Jehovah gave him.

"The ravens brought him bread and meat in the morning, and bread and meat in the evening; and he drank from the brook." 1 kings 17:6

According to the scripture above, he fed him with the same food morning and night. In the morning, he was given bread and meat (same food given to the children of Israel several years ago) by Raven; and at evening, he was given the same food. Throughout the time he ate the food, he didn’t tell God he was tired.

As a result, the Almighty made another provision for him after the water in the brook Cherith dried up. Had he complained like the children of Israel in the wilderness, he would have ended up like them.

To enjoy unmerited surplus of our creator, you need to be grateful and complaint-free.

Be grateful… can I see your comment about how grateful you are for seeing another day and for the food and water you drank yesterday?
