What Most Preachers Don't Tell Us About The Holy Spirit

Having knew the thought of the Pharisees, Jesus seized the opportunity to give extra caution to them, and of course to us all, not to think the Spirit of God was like him.  The statement Jesus made on that day brought us to a realization that Holy Spirit is quite different — in fact, "far far" different — from God the Father and God the Son. If you really know God the Father and God the Son quite well, and you relate to Holy Spirit the same way you relate to them, in no time, you will realize you've beaten more than you can chew. From this expository and thought-provoking post, you will learn a lot of things that most Bible preachers don't tell us — or forget to tell us — about the 3rd triune God, Holy Spirit. First, let me show you something fascinating in the Bible. Judges 9:7-15 7 Now when they told Jotham, he went and stood on top of Mount Gerizim, and lifted his voice and cried out. And he said to them: “Listen to me, you men of Shechem, That God may listen to yo...

This Is The Most Dangerous Water In the Bible

Bitter water in the Bible

There is nothing any human being can do without water on the surface of the earth. The major part of the earth is water. In fact, water houses over 65% percent of the human body. As essential as it is, no man can drink the most dangerous water in the Bible.

You must have heard or read some properties of water. It is odourless, tasteless and colourless. In other words, a smelly, tasteful and colorful one is dangerous to human health.

The most dangerous water in the Bible was colorless and odorless. However, it was tasteful; the taste was bitter. It is the water the word of God referred to as bitter water.

You might think the only bitter water in the Bible was Marah. Far from it, at a point in the Bible, God revealed to the priests how to make a water bitter so as eliminate any adulterous woman.

The priest shall take holy water in an earthen vessel, and take some of the dust that is on the floor of the tabernacle and put it into the water.

Then the priest shall stand the woman before the Lord, uncover the woman’s head, and put the offering for remembering in her hands, which is the grain offering of jealousy. And the priest shall have in his hand the bitter water that brings a curse. Numbers 5:17-18

According the Bible verse you read above, once the priest mixed the dust on the floor of the Tabernacle to the holy water, it became bitter and capable of causing the stomach of anyone to swell and thigh to rot.

A tasteful water can be treated chemically, but it is never advisable to treat a bitter water. That was why it became a miracle when God instructed Moses to use a tree to make Marah, the bitter water, sweet for the children of Israel to drink before they left to Elim.

Now when they came to Marahthey could not drink the waters of Marah, for they were bitter. Therefore the name of it was called Marah.[a]

And the people complained against Moses, saying, “What shall we drink?

So he cried out to the Lord, and the Lord showed him a tree. When he cast it into the waters, the waters were made sweet. There He made a statute and an ordinance for them, and there He tested them Exodus 15:23-25

Apart from Marah and the bitter water made from the dust of the Tabernacle, the water from the rivers at the end of time will be made bitter so that it can hurt anyone who drinks it. Although the rivers will not be made bitter by any dust, it will become bitter by the addition of a star which will fall from heaven. This star is known as wormwood.

Then the third angel sounded: And a great star fell from heavenburning like a torch, and it fell on a third of the rivers and on the springs of water.

The name of the star is Wormwood. A third of the waters became wormwood, and many men died from the water, because it was made bitter. Revelation 8:10-11

Truth be told, if anyone doesn’t believe and accept the Jesus as your Lord and personal savior, he or she will suffer untold hardship at the end of days. Give your life to Christ so that you can avoid the bitter end of life.

How to make bitter water?

According to what God taught the priest in the Bible, they were to take the dust on the floor of the Tabernacle and put it inside a holy water. The addition of the dust to the water, which is holy, made the water bitter and harmful as it is capable of killing anyone who drinks it.

Where in the Bible does it mention wormwood?

Revelation 8:10-11 Then the third angel sounded: And a great star fell from heavenburning like a torch, and it fell on a third of the rivers and on the springs of water.

The name of the star is Wormwood. A third of the waters became wormwood, and many men died from the water, because it was made bitter.

What is bitter water in the Bible?

According to Numbers 5: 17-18, Bitter water refers to holy water that is mixed with the dust of the Tabernacle. The water becomes bitter and deadly after mixing it. Apart from the artificially made type, it can also occur naturally like the one found at Marah.

What the Bible says about wormwood?

Wormwood is the name of a star that will fall down from heaven, at the end of time, into the third of all the rivers and spring of water of the earth so as to make them bitter. It’s revealed in the book of Revelation 8:10-11 that the water will become bitter after the wormwood fill it up which will result to the death of many people.
