Of course, there will be no human race without family. The whole world became populated as a result of the families we have in different part of the world.
Traceably, the whole world, as we know, emanated from one family, which was the family of Adam. Being the first family in the world, they are automatically qualified to be listed among the popular families in the Bible.
Their family consists of Cain, Abel and Seth. Unfortunately, they lost Abel to Cain's gruesome act: he murdered his brother Abel. Thereby leading to the birth of Seth and several other children whose names were not mentioned.
And the days of Adam after he had begotten Seth were eight hundred years: and he begat sons and daughters:
Genesis 5:4
Had it not been for the existence of the family of Adam and Eve; there would have been no family in any part of the world. Their children got married to themselves so as to multiply and replenish the earth. Notably, the members of the same family getting married to themselves was not yet a sin at this point time. So, the remaining 800 years Adam lived on Earth after he gave birth to Seth was used in raising more children that no one knows their actual number.
Secondly, another family of noteworthy was the family of Noah. It was through this family that God multiplied and replenished the earth as the previous family of Adam and Eve had been corrupted by the fallen angels known as demons.
The family consists of Shem, Ham who was cursed by his father for beholding his nakedness and Japheth.
From the family of the first born of Noah came another popular family known as the family of Abraham. The family consisted of Abraham himself, his wife, Sarah and their only son Isaac. Through Abraham's faith in God, the family will bless all other families in the world through the birth of Jesus Christ who came to the earth through the family of Joseph and Mary
That will lead us to the family of Joseph and Mary. Mary being a virgin was engaged to Joseph, the carpenter, a just man who later accepted his engaged wife after receiving message from the angel of God.
They gave birth to there first born child Jesus without having any affair with each other until Jesus was born.
And knew her not till she had brought forth her firstborn son: and he called his name Jesus
Matthew 1:25
Is not this the carpenter's son? is not his mother called Mary? and his brethren, James, and Joses, and Simon, and Judas?
Matthew 13:55
In other words, Jesus had younger ones who were James, Jose, Simon and Judas with sisters whose names were not revealed in the Bible.
Jude later became one of the authors of the Bible even though he, too just like others, never believe the messiahship of the Lord Jesus Christ who happened to be their blood brother while James became the leader of the church at Jerusalem.
Another popular family we can’t afford to ignore is the family of Isaac. Through which we had one of the most popular twins in the Bible: Esau and Jacob. It was through this Jacob the world became cognizance of the 12 tribes in the Bible.
Before we delve into the most powerful family in the Bible, let’s look at the family of Peter, the number one disciple of Jesus.
His family became the first family that was called by Jesus to be his disciples. On that fateful day, Jesus saw Peter and Andrew, his brother, casting their net. Without questioning, they followed Jesus.
Second to last, the family of Zebedee which consisted of James and John who left their father when Jesus called them. Notably, their father was there when Jesus called them. Not considering the tie between their father and them — the relationship of Father and sons — they decided to follow Jesus. Then Jesus amazed them by making the two of them one of the three closest disciples to him after Peter.
Lastly, the family of Paul, the apostle. He had a sister.
And when Paul's sister's son heard of their lying in wait, he went and entered into the castle, and told Paul.
Acts 23:16
Also, he had several relatives in the Bible whose names were revealed in Paul’s letter to the Romans in Romans 16:7-21. Names like Andronicus, Junia, Herodion, Lucius, Jason and Sosipater.
Actually, there are several other families I didn’t mention in this article. However, no matter the families I mention, without mentioning the family of Moses — the closest prophet to God in the old testament — my list can never be complete.
The family consisted of Levite as father and Levite as mother. Amram and Jochebed gave birth to Aaron, Miriam and Moses.
If you consider all, I mean all, the families in the Bible in its entirety, no family was as powerful as the family of Moses. That was the only family that all the members of the family were used by God.
I AM THAT I AM used Moses to deliver the children of Israel from Egypt. Then, he called Aaron to be the spokesman of Moses due to his reluctance while Miriam — the only sister of Moses who helped Moses immensely after he was neglected by his mother after being left in the river — became the first woman to be tagged a prophetess in the Bible.
No family, I repeat, no family was used by God as much as he used all members of the family of Amram (Moses' family). That family should be extensively studied by all families of the world so as to learn from them and how God used all of them and called them home in the same year.
