What Most Preachers Don't Tell Us About The Holy Spirit

Having knew the thought of the Pharisees, Jesus seized the opportunity to give extra caution to them, and of course to us all, not to think the Spirit of God was like him.  The statement Jesus made on that day brought us to a realization that Holy Spirit is quite different — in fact, "far far" different — from God the Father and God the Son. If you really know God the Father and God the Son quite well, and you relate to Holy Spirit the same way you relate to them, in no time, you will realize you've beaten more than you can chew. From this expository and thought-provoking post, you will learn a lot of things that most Bible preachers don't tell us — or forget to tell us — about the 3rd triune God, Holy Spirit. First, let me show you something fascinating in the Bible. Judges 9:7-15 7 Now when they told Jotham, he went and stood on top of Mount Gerizim, and lifted his voice and cried out. And he said to them: “Listen to me, you men of Shechem, That God may listen to yo...

See The Reason Why Jesus Told His Disciples To Sell Their Garment & Use The Money To Buy Sword.

Sell your garment and buy sword

Then He said to them, “But now, he who has a money bag, let him take it, and likewise a knapsack; and he who has no sword, let him sell his garment and buy one.

Luke 22:36

The very first time I read out this part of the Bible to another Christian; he was as confused as someone who is a new convert. Even in church, everyone is seen with different face reaction whenever Luke 22:36 is read.

If you’ve been confused as to why Jesus would tell his disciples, who have no sword, to sell their garments and use the money to purchase a sword, I assure you that by the time you are done reading this article you will fully understand the reason for the "uncommon advice" from the savior of the world.

Contrary to what people have said about Jesus after reading this Bible verse, Jesus of course was not a violent person. In fact, he taught his disciples that anyone who lived by sword would die by it.

But Jesus said to him, “Put your sword in its place, for all who take the sword will perish[f] by the sword.

Matthew 26:52

Athaliah, who killed all the royal heirs except Joash who was saved by Jehosheba, died by sword. There was no one in the Bible who lived by sword and didn’t die by it. That confirms the word of the Lord. If Jesus preached against it, he would never do it.

Even though he was human being on earth, he was without sin.

Everything about him was already written and prophesied by great prophets who lived thousands of years before he was born. All he did on earth could be traceable to one prophesies or another in the Bible.

Those who knew the word of God when Jesus was on Earth were not surprised by his meticulous acts. So, when he told his disciples to purchase sword, he was giving the instructions in order to fulfill another prophecy of him. Take a look at the Bible verse below…

For I say to you that this which is written must still be accomplished in Me...

Luke 22:37a

Consequently, the purchasing of the sword was for a good cause and not a bad one. I will be showing that good cause in the paragraph below.

Meanwhile, if it was for a bad cause, he would not have been satisfied until all the 12 disciples purchased their respective swords. At the time he advised them; they had just two swords with them. The moment they revealed that to him; he told them it was enough.

How can two swords be enough for 12 people?

If they were even to fight with the people coming to attack them, how would they defend themselves with just two swords?

So they said, “Lord, look, here are two swords.” And He said to them, “It is enough.”

Luke 22:38

The reason Jesus said that was because he wanted to ensure the last miracle of healing on Malchus...happened as it's written of him. Without the sword, there was no way he would have performed the healing of the replacement of ear of Malchus after it will be cut by Peter.

He knew, being a prophet, that 12 swords was not necessary to cut the ear of Malchus; just one sword was more than enough to precipitate the incident which will lead to another manifestation and fulfilment of his last miracle.

Just like the born blind man who would never open his eyes until Jesus was born. More so, just like Lazarus, Jesus friend, who had to die so as to glorify the Father in him, so do Malchus' ear had to be cut off by the use of sword from the hand of his own disciple.

His disciples never knew this. They thought the swords were required for violence.

Likewise, everything about you written in heaven must come to pass whether you like it or not. Joseph must be sold to “foreigners” order to become a “foreign” minister. Jesus must die by hanging on the cross so that our curse could become his...it is a curse to die on a tree. The moment you make an attempt to change what is written about you because you feel God’s process will take longer is the moment you are set up for enviable failure.

Never outsmart God, let all, I mean, everything written about you be fulfilled. I promise you at the end of all your suffering and adversity...you will give glory to God.
