What Most Preachers Don't Tell Us About The Holy Spirit

Having knew the thought of the Pharisees, Jesus seized the opportunity to give extra caution to them, and of course to us all, not to think the Spirit of God was like him.  The statement Jesus made on that day brought us to a realization that Holy Spirit is quite different — in fact, "far far" different — from God the Father and God the Son. If you really know God the Father and God the Son quite well, and you relate to Holy Spirit the same way you relate to them, in no time, you will realize you've beaten more than you can chew. From this expository and thought-provoking post, you will learn a lot of things that most Bible preachers don't tell us — or forget to tell us — about the 3rd triune God, Holy Spirit. First, let me show you something fascinating in the Bible. Judges 9:7-15 7 Now when they told Jotham, he went and stood on top of Mount Gerizim, and lifted his voice and cried out. And he said to them: “Listen to me, you men of Shechem, That God may listen to yo...

4 People In The Bible Who Had The Opportunity of Touching The Hands of Angels.

It is a great privilege to see the Heavenly messengers of God in their spiritual body form. Only few people, Mary, Gideon, Daniel, Manoah and his wife, saw them physically. They hardly appear to human beings in their angelic form.

Many people have seen them without knowing they are angels because they appear as human. They have the ability to transform to human beings whenever they feel like.

No man can see them in their spiritual body form without getting scared. Based on some descriptions in the Bible, to call them giants will be an understatement. The giants who existed before the flood were the product of their illicit relationship between them and human beings.

The aforementioned people, who saw them physically, were not privileged to touch them. However, four people had the opportunity of touching their hands. It would have been another great privilege if one could see these four people to tell us how they felt when they touch their hands and, probably, describe them.

“When the morning dawned, the angels urged Lot to hurry, saying, ‘Arise, take your wife and your two daughters who are here, lest you be consumed in the punishment of the city.’ And while he lingered, the men took hold of his hand, his wife’s hand, and the hands of his two daughters, the Lord being merciful to him, and they brought him out and set him outside the city.”

Genesis 19:15-16

These Four people are:

1. Lot

2. Lot’s wife

3. First daughter of lot

4. Second daughter of lot.

God was about to destroy the city of Sodom and Gomorrah when he sent two angels to Lot. Had it not been for the intervention of the angels, Lot and his family would have died with the sinners in Sodom.

The angels knew they were short of time. They needed to get out of the city as soon as possible. Of course, they could fly as far as they wanted, but Lots and his wife could not.

In order to save the family, they held the hand of Lot, his wife and his two daughters. Voila, they dropped outside the city. The Bible didn’t tell us how the angels did it. Perhaps, they flew with or made them run as fast they could.

To say an angel doesn’t exist is nothing but a fallacy. Jesus once talked about Lot’s wife, who turned to salt. His wife became a pillar of salt after she had disobeyed the word of the Lord. She looked back after the angels had brought them out and instructed them never to look back.

People often say God will not come down to help anyone; he will send someone. On the contrary, God doesn’t operate in such a manner. He came down from heaven when he defended Moses…

“Then Miriam and Aaron spoke against Moses because of the Ethiopian woman whom he had married; for he had married an Ethiopian woman… Then the Lord came down in the pillar of cloud and stood in the door of the tabernacle, and called Aaron and Miriam. And they both went forward.”

Number 12:1-5

Although he sent angels to Lot and his family, he doesn’t mean he won’t come down by himself for your sake as he did for Moses.

God loves you more than you think.
