What Most Preachers Don't Tell Us About The Holy Spirit

Having knew the thought of the Pharisees, Jesus seized the opportunity to give extra caution to them, and of course to us all, not to think the Spirit of God was like him.  The statement Jesus made on that day brought us to a realization that Holy Spirit is quite different — in fact, "far far" different — from God the Father and God the Son. If you really know God the Father and God the Son quite well, and you relate to Holy Spirit the same way you relate to them, in no time, you will realize you've beaten more than you can chew. From this expository and thought-provoking post, you will learn a lot of things that most Bible preachers don't tell us — or forget to tell us — about the 3rd triune God, Holy Spirit. First, let me show you something fascinating in the Bible. Judges 9:7-15 7 Now when they told Jotham, he went and stood on top of Mount Gerizim, and lifted his voice and cried out. And he said to them: “Listen to me, you men of Shechem, That God may listen to yo...

Do You Know Why The Children of Israel Cried 30 Days For Moses And Aaron?

These two brothers can never be forgotten in the history of the world. They left indelible marks in the sands of time.

Moses was a great deliverer who led the children of Israel out of the land of bondage through the wilderness to their promise land. He didn’t enter the promised land; however, he saw it.

When God called him, he complained about his slow speech. After much back and forth, God heeded his word concerning working alongside his brother, Aaron.

The duo became great instruments in the hand of God. While Aaron, the great orator, used his gift of speaking, Moses stood between the Almighty and the children of Israel as an intercessor.

What, then, led to the great weeping of 30 days?

As they couldn’t enter the promise land due to the sin of disobedience. They both had died before the children of Israel entered the promise land. Their death led to great mourning among the children of Israel. They cried for 30 days — according to Numbers 20:29 and Deuteronomy 34:8 — before they moved on with their normal activities in the land.

"Now when all the congregation saw that Aaron was dead, all the house of Israel mourned for Aaron thirty days." Numbers 20:29

"And the children of Israel wept for Moses in the plains of Moab thirty days. So the days of weeping and mourning for Moses ended." Deuteronomy 34:8

Although they didn’t enter the promise land, Moses was privileged to see it. God took him up to a mountain called Nebo where he saw the whole land, which God promised Abraham and his seeds.

After seeing it, he died. Thereafter, God buried him in a valley and hid the exact location from the children of Israel. That’s why no one, till date, knows the exact place the great prophet was buried.

For Aaron, he was buried on a mountain at Hor. Unlike Moses, his brother, he never saw the land flowing with milk and honey. He was also punished for the sin of disobedience, too.

Moreover, the thirty days weeping was not particularly for sorrow but for the loss of great people who will be greatly missed. No one cries for the wicked.

This is why you must live right and impact your generation to be greatly missed.
