What Most Preachers Don't Tell Us About The Holy Spirit

Having knew the thought of the Pharisees, Jesus seized the opportunity to give extra caution to them, and of course to us all, not to think the Spirit of God was like him.  The statement Jesus made on that day brought us to a realization that Holy Spirit is quite different — in fact, "far far" different — from God the Father and God the Son. If you really know God the Father and God the Son quite well, and you relate to Holy Spirit the same way you relate to them, in no time, you will realize you've beaten more than you can chew. From this expository and thought-provoking post, you will learn a lot of things that most Bible preachers don't tell us — or forget to tell us — about the 3rd triune God, Holy Spirit. First, let me show you something fascinating in the Bible. Judges 9:7-15 7 Now when they told Jotham, he went and stood on top of Mount Gerizim, and lifted his voice and cried out. And he said to them: “Listen to me, you men of Shechem, That God may listen to yo...

Why God Does Not Allow His Children To Leave Food Till The Next Day?

The children of Israel did not lack anything as long as they followed the pillar of cloud by day and pillar of fire by night. Surprisingly, God led them to a place, that was not suitable for Human beings, called the Wilderness of Sin where there was no food. So, they complained because of intense hunger as recorded in Exodus 16:2-3 kjv.

"Then the whole congregation of the children of Israel complained against Moses and Aaron in the wilderness.

And the children of Israel said to them, 'Oh, that we had died by the hand of the Lord in the land of Egypt, when we sat by the pots of meat and when we ate bread to the full! For you have brought us out into this wilderness to kill this whole assembly with hunger.'"

When God heard their complaints, he rained food — manna — from Heaven. The quantity of food he provided was more than enough for all the children of Israel. If they gathered more than enough, there would still be much available.

After the provision of the food, God gave them instruction to gather a certain rate per day (Exodus 16:16 kjv this is the thing which the Lord has commanded: ‘Let every man gather it according to each one’s need, one omer for each person, according to the number of persons; let every man take for those who are in his tent.’”) . They were not surprised that God gave them enough even when he asked them to take little. Not knowing God gave such instruction in order to TEST them. He wanted to see the way they would act and react.

The amount he asked each person to take would be enough for him or her for a day. Unfortunately, they failed the test.

In Exodus 16:17 kjv — Then the children of Israel did so and gathered, some more, some less — some gather more than the required amount for a day. In fact, they should have learnt from the people who gathered less. The Bible said in Exodus 16:18 KJV — so when they measured it by omers, he who gathered much had nothing left over, and he who gathered little had no lack. Every man had gathered according to each one’s need. — that those who hate little were satisfied.

Trusting God was supposed to be the order of the day. That was why Jesus taught the disciples in the LORD’S PRAYER to request for a daily bread. In Matthew 6:11 KJV (Give us this day our daily bread), they were to pray for a daily provision of food. Jesus taught them this kind of prayer so as to make them realize their need for God on a daily basis.

The food that was left till morning, by the people who gathered much more than was needed, got spoilt by the action of worms (Exodus 16:20 kjv, notwithstanding they did not heed Moses. But some of them left part of it until morning, and it bred worms and stank. And Moses was angry with them). Immediately Moses saw it, and he was angry.

This was not the first time Alpha and Omega would not allowed his children to leave food till the next day. During the passover, too, God told them the same thing. They were to eat the food and never leave any till the next morning.

You shall let none of it remain until morning, and what remains of it until morning you shall burn with fire.

Exodus 12:10 Nkjv

In fact, any left over must be burnt, not eaten.

In conclusion, if you leave food till the next day so that you can have something to eat — as a child of God — you are simply working against his principles. It means you don’t trust him enough to provide for you on a daily basis. Such act annoys God. Even when the children of Israel were told to stay indoor during the sabbath, they disobeyed by going out to gather more food. Of course, they didn't see any food outside.

Jesus said in Matthew 6:34 Nkjv…

Therefore do not worry about tomorrow, for tomorrow will worry about its own things. Sufficient for the day is its own trouble.

If you are thinking of how and where you will get the necessities of life — food, cloth and house — it means you don’t know the kind of God you serve.

TRUST GOD EVERY DAY, EVERY MINUTE AND EVERY SECOND.
