What Most Preachers Don't Tell Us About The Holy Spirit

Having knew the thought of the Pharisees, Jesus seized the opportunity to give extra caution to them, and of course to us all, not to think the Spirit of God was like him.  The statement Jesus made on that day brought us to a realization that Holy Spirit is quite different — in fact, "far far" different — from God the Father and God the Son. If you really know God the Father and God the Son quite well, and you relate to Holy Spirit the same way you relate to them, in no time, you will realize you've beaten more than you can chew. From this expository and thought-provoking post, you will learn a lot of things that most Bible preachers don't tell us — or forget to tell us — about the 3rd triune God, Holy Spirit. First, let me show you something fascinating in the Bible. Judges 9:7-15 7 Now when they told Jotham, he went and stood on top of Mount Gerizim, and lifted his voice and cried out. And he said to them: “Listen to me, you men of Shechem, That God may listen to yo

Did Jesus Ever Call A Gentile Woman A Dog?

It is nothing new to accuse the Son of God. After all, he was accused several times in the Bible. Upon all the allegations, he didn’t bother to refute them. For some accusations, he gave no response.

Truth be told, Jesus never call anyone a dog. When the woman came to him, as recorded in Mark 7:26-27

"The woman was a Greek, a Syrophenician by nation; and she besought him that he would cast forth the devil out of her daughter.

But Jesus said unto her, Let the children first be filled: for it is not meet to take the children's bread, and to cast it unto the dogs."

she begged him to her cast out the demon that tormented her daughter. Then, the Son of God made a saying, which reveals the improper feeding of dogs with the children’s food.

Being the Son of God, I mean God in human form; he feared nobody. If he wanted to make a hard talk to the woman, he would do it. More so, the saying referred to dogs and not a single dog, which might have prompted the thought of referring directly to the woman.

No one would ever tolerate being called a dog. Goliath was angry with David because he felt he was treated as such in 1 Samuel 17:43..

"And the Philistine said unto David, Am I a dog, that thou comest to me with staves? And the Philistine cursed David by his gods."

The woman in question never insulted Jesus after he had made the saying because she understood what the master meant.

She answered politely that dogs — not referring to herself — ate the children’s crumb. That response prompted the imediate healing of her daughter.

We should be mindful of the meanings we read to the word of God. His word should be taught and preached as it’s written. Our opinion does not count when dealing with the word of God.

Some part of the Bible made it clear that anyone who adds to the word of God will suffer the consequences. More so, no one will escape the punishment meant for anyone who removes from it.

The sons of Belial were known in the Bible for bearing false witness and making wrong accusations. They stood up for any false thing as long as money is involved. Doing this will earn you nothing but everlasting punishment. Life has a way of paying back everyone its evil deeds while he or she is still on earth.

Every word shall be accounted for. Mind what you say about anyone. If you can’t say anything good about someone you see physically, how will you say good things about God who you’ve never seen before.

Ask God for forgiveness on any wrong statements you’ve made about the men of God, church or the people of God. Perhaps, you may not know. Accusing men of God and the people of God is accusing God, himself. Jesus told Saul on his way to Damascus: “Then he fell to the ground, and heard a voice saying to him, ‘Saul, Saul, why are you persecuting Me?’”

He thought he was persecuting Christians; he never knew persecuting children of God was tantamount to persecuting The Almighty.

God forgive us all…

Amen
