What Most Preachers Don't Tell Us About The Holy Spirit

Having knew the thought of the Pharisees, Jesus seized the opportunity to give extra caution to them, and of course to us all, not to think the Spirit of God was like him.  The statement Jesus made on that day brought us to a realization that Holy Spirit is quite different — in fact, "far far" different — from God the Father and God the Son. If you really know God the Father and God the Son quite well, and you relate to Holy Spirit the same way you relate to them, in no time, you will realize you've beaten more than you can chew. From this expository and thought-provoking post, you will learn a lot of things that most Bible preachers don't tell us — or forget to tell us — about the 3rd triune God, Holy Spirit. First, let me show you something fascinating in the Bible. Judges 9:7-15 7 Now when they told Jotham, he went and stood on top of Mount Gerizim, and lifted his voice and cried out. And he said to them: “Listen to me, you men of Shechem, That God may listen to yo

Why Human Beings Don’t Marry In Heaven?

If we don’t understand the purpose of marriage, we will find it difficult to know the reason human beings don’t marry in heaven.

The Sadducees, in the Bible days, had the same challenge. They didn’t understand the purpose of marriage. That was why they didn’t understand why human beings don’t get married in heaven.

"Master, Moses wrote unto us, If a man's brother die, and leave his wife behind him, and leave no children, that his brother should take his wife, and raise up seed unto his brother.

20 Now there were seven brethren: and the first took a wife, and dying left no seed.

21 And the second took her, and died, neither left he any seed: and the third likewise.

22 And the seven had her, and left no seed: last of all the woman died also.

23 In the resurrection therefore, when they shall rise, whose wife shall she be of them? for the seven had her to wife.

24 And Jesus answering said unto them, Do ye not therefore err, because ye know not the scriptures, neither the power of God?

25 For when they shall rise from the dead, they neither marry, nor are given in marriage; but are as the angels which are in heaven."

In Mark 12:19-25 above, they asked Jesus who would marry a woman, in heaven, who got married to seven brothers while they were on earth. They were confused because they didn’t know the scripture. They felt they would be chaos in heaven over the affairs of the woman with the seven brothers. Each one of the brothers married her, although she didn’t give birth for anyone. She got married to them consecutively after each one died so as to raise seed of the previously dead brother.

They thought marriage on earth would be continued after life. Jesus corrected them by telling them that there is no marriage over there. We will be like angels as they don’t marry or give birth.

Human beings cannot marry in heaven because everyone would be, powerful enough to be, independent of each other. The reason God created a woman in Genesis 2:18 is to help Adam.

And the Lord God said, “It is not good that man should be alone; I will make him a helper comparable to him.”

Genesis 2:18.

 She was created as ‘helpmeet.’

The activities would be too much for Adam in the garden of Eden. More so, he would be, too, lonely to be alone. The Presence of all the animals would not suffice. The beauty of the garden would not help in taking away his loneliness.

This is what baffles me anytime I hear of the same sex getting married. How can two people who need helpers get married? That will be union of two helpless fellows. What a confusing union!

There is no loneliness in heaven. More so, every man will need no helper over there as we will all be spirits without an earthly flesh, which is bound to be tired after working. The Spirit of a dead person goes back to God after his or her demise. With the distance from the earth to heaven, the spirit will never get tired as he or she doesn’t possess an earthly body.

I hope to see you in heaven. Don’t miss the glorious place for any reason. See you there.
